I bought this tie hoping to get a simple, nice-looking charcoal tie to match my suit, and that's exactly what I got. It's on the darker side, though, so that's something to pay attention to. It's the same length as far more expensive ties I own and seems to be similar in quality as well. It's not a fat tie, but it's not a skinny tie, either; I guess it's "slim." I've worn it three times now, and there's been no fraying or any other noticeable wear.
